We're working with Chef James Cochran, 2018 Great British Menu winner and owner of London restaurant, 12:51, to bring you a series of recipes using Sauce Shop sauces. This one is a Classic Bacon Cheeseburger featuring crispy bacon, homemade patties and a load of our Smoky Chipotle Mayo.
Ingredients
-
300g 15% fat steak mince.
-
Sauce Shop Smoky Chipotle Mayo
-
4 slices smoked streaky bacon.
-
1 lettuce.
-
2 slices of American cheese.
-
2 seeded brioche bun.
-
Sea salt.
Directions
Mix the mince with a good sprinkling of sea salt. Leave this to sit for 10-15 minutes.
Slice the lettuce and cut the brioche buns in half.
Mould the mince into a burger patty shape.
Cook the smoked streaky bacon in a frying pan to your desired level of crispiness.
Once the bacon has cooked, leave the bacon fat in the pan. Add the burger patties to the pan and cook for 4-5 mins at a medium heat on each side.
Add a slice of American cheese to each burger and finish for a further 1-minute to melt the cheese.
Leave the burgers to rest for 3-4 mins. Stack your buns with the patties, lettuce, bacon and finish with a dollop of Smoky Chipotle Mayo.
